This article plugs into an ordinary socket. Nothing needs to be wired, and nothing needs an electrician.

About this one
The base is thrown in stoneware and glazed in a matt sand that picks up whatever colour the bulb gives it. No two are identical, and the glaze pools differently at the foot of each one.
Ceramic is heavy, which is the practical argument for it: this lamp does not move when you pull the cord.
