Strictly necessary — no consent required
These are needed for the site to function as a shop. Under the cookie order they do not require consent, and they cannot be switched off without breaking the basket.
| Name | Type | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| lampkin.basket.v1 | Local storage | Holds the article codes and quantities in your basket so it survives a page reload. Contains no personal data — only product codes and numbers. | Until you clear it or complete an order |
| lampkin.consent.v1 | Local storage | Remembers whether you accepted or refused the optional cookies, so we stop asking. Ironically, this is the one that has to exist in order to respect a refusal. | Until you clear it |
Both are local storage rather than cookies, which means they stay in your browser and are never sent to our servers with a request.
Optional — only with your consent
We ask once, on your first visit, whether we may set measurement cookies that count which pages get read. We want to know whether the electrical safety page is actually being read, because if it is not we have designed something badly.
- Nothing optional is set before you choose. Not a pixel, not a beacon, not a script.
- Refusing changes nothing about how the site works for you.
- There is no advertising, no retargeting, no social media pixel and no cross-site tracking on this site — refused or accepted.
- Measurement data is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build a profile.

Refusing is as easy as accepting
On the notice you saw on your first visit, Refuse and Accept are the same size, the same weight, the same colour and next to each other. Refusing takes one press and closes the notice, exactly like accepting. There is no second screen, no dimmed button, no “manage preferences” maze, and no pre-ticked box.
That is what the cookie order requires. It is also just how a consent request should work if you actually mean it.
Third parties
Fonts are served from this site’s own domain rather than from a font CDN, so no third party sees your IP address when you load a page. There are no embedded videos from third-party platforms, no chat widgets and no social embeds anywhere on this site.
During checkout, the payment step is handled by a payment provider whose own privacy and cookie terms apply to the part of the process that happens with them. What we can tell you about that step is on the payment and security page.
Controlling this in your browser
Every browser can block or clear cookies and local storage for a site, usually under privacy settings. Clearing storage for this site removes both items in the first table — you will lose your basket and be asked about optional cookies again, and nothing else will change.
More
What we do with data you actually give us — your name, your address, your order — is in the privacy policy, along with how to make us delete it and how to complain to Datatilsynet.
